  • ARAS 1080P Dual Lens Car Camera

As titled, this is dual camera setup - one camera in the front, ideally right under the mirror and the second one can go on to Rear windscreen or anywhere you like. And what this makes stand out (and a head ache too!) is the rear camera can be mounted on to number plate as reversing camera. This means you need additional 12V power, that need to be tapped from reverse light.

Dual Camera setup, Comes in the box, 1 full camera unit, 1 slave camera, 3 mounts, Cigarette lighter to Mini USB for power, a very long video cable to connect secondary camera, Instruction manual and additional double sided tape and several cable hooks / ties.

Fixing is easy, ideally mounting directly on to windscreen gives a clean discreet look in both front and back, plenty of length to take the wire hidden all the way back to the second camera. The lens angle is adjustable in both the cameras. The Front camera (1080p) is more natural in terms of colour and brightness, you can see the exposure compensation is balancing well when the wipers move. Rear camera is only 720p, but there are lot of corrections and processing going on, still produces decent quality footage that you expect.

Regarding features, this is a car DVR straight out of the box. Loop recording, G-force lock and small screen. The screen turns off automatically when car starts moving. Loop recording can be set via menu. I’ve done reviews of many cameras and this is one I keep in top tier list.

For DIY enthusiasts: the rear camera can be straight right close to front grill if you wish to use as front parking camera. you need to figure out how to power these up, may be the speed falls down to 10 mph or so. My car will be replaced soon, otherwise I’d have attempted this on my car.

Overall very good dual camera setup, also plenty of pictures attached to see how it looks in real life situation. I’ll get some video uploaded soon after a motor way drive next week.

Disclaimer: I received this product for subsidised price or free in exchange for an extensive test, honest and unbiased review and I've tried my best to do the same.
